Safety

Every Sunderland Electric crew goes home safe. Safety is planned into each job from the start, not added at the end.

How we keep job sites safe

  • Job-specific planning: hazards are reviewed before work starts, including energized equipment, work at height and shutdowns in occupied buildings.
  • Licensed leadership: crews are led by Connecticut-licensed electricians who are responsible for safe work practices on their sites.
  • Lockout/tagout and energized-work controls on every shutdown and tie-in.
  • Coordination with the GC’s site safety program, including orientations, toolbox talks and site rules.
  • Apprentices work under licensed supervision and learn safe practices from day one.
